Transfer of Ownership:

• The land for this farm was combined across two different purchases.
• Michael McDonald purchased six acres of land from William and Ellis Hanford.
• In 1858, McDonald acquired an additional 36 ¼ acres from the Rogers Family.
• The barn is believed to have been built during ownership of the McDonald Family.
• Jesse and Jean Schieven owned the property during the 1950s.
• Around this time, a fire broke out in the woodworking shop at the front of the barn.
• Dan Farley purchased the property from the Schieven Family.
• The barn currently serves as home base for Dan Farley’s roofing business.

Present Owner:

This Wells barn belongs to Dan Farley.
